PUBLIC SECTOR – VARIOUS FIRE STATIONS

FIRE AUTHORITY APPROVALS

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Detailed planning permission has been secured for a variety of Fire Stations across the north of England including a £13m project, funded by the Fire Transformation Fund, for the delivery of the UK’s first ‘quad station’ in Barnard Castle. The proposals saw unanimous approval of an emergency response centre built on the outskirts of market town Barnard Castle. A recent permission for Ponteland Fire Station was also unanimously approved at planning committee in 2019. The re-located site allows the demolition of the original site to make space for the erection of a wider public sector development of the new Ponteland Leisure Centre and Schools also an instruction of Hedley Planning. We have delivered Fires stations for County Durham and Darlington Fire Authority and Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service.
