INDUSTRIAL – URLAY NOOK, EAGELSCLIFFE, STOCKTON-ON-TEES

HPS ACTED AS PLANNING AGENTS ON BEHALF OF A NATIONAL CLIENT TO SECURE PLANNING APPROVAL FOR A RESERVED MATTERS APPLICATION FOR OVER 450,000 SQFT OF INDUSTRIAL ESTATE AT URLAY NOOK ROAD, EAGLESCLIFFE.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This reserved matters application related to landscaping and appearance of the site and we worked closely with the developer, architects and Stockton Borough Council to ensure that the scheme was of a high quality and would secure the privacy and visual amenity of those residing to the east in the newly built Taylor Wimpey estate.

The multi-million pound scheme is forecast to bring as many as 750 jobs to the area once businesses start moving in. It will feature more than 30 units for general industrial, storage and distribution use, with site designs prepared by Newcastle-based Ryder Architecture.

Changes to the original plans, made under reserved matters and pre-commencement conditions set by the authority, covered aspects such as boundary treatment, drainage, landscaping, unit appearance and site investigations.
