Proposed Residential Development on Land at Pease Way, Newton Aycliffe

Adderstone Living Ltd are seeking detailed planning permission for the proposed construction of 23no. affordable dwellings on land at Pease Way, Newton Aycliffe, County Durham.

Adderstone Living Ltd are a dedicated social housing division of Adderstone Group. They have been launched to contribute towards tackling the national housing crises by building affordable and extra care housing solutions. Adderstone Living specialise in unique, land led solutions.

The social housing landlord will be North Star Housing Group, a North East Housing Association whose purpose is to provide affordable housing, invest in communities and develop homes across the Tees Valley, County Durham and North Yorkshire.

Before a detailed planning application is submitted to the Council for consideration, we are seeking your views upon this proposal.

The proposed development will include a mix of the following dwellings:

8 x 2-bedroom, 3-person

4 x 2-bedroom, 4-person

1 x 3-bedroom, 4-person

7 x 3-bedroom, 4-person

2 x 4-bedroom, 6-person

The proposal includes 6 visitor parking bays across the site. 2-bedroom dwellings will have 1 off-street allocated parking space, with remaining dwellings having 2 allocated spaces.

Careful consideration has been given to retain existing soft landscaping features. To create an attractive housing development, an area of open space has been designed in a central location and additional landscaping features will be included within the scheme.
