Public Consultation: Proposed Residential Development and Care Home on Land at the Former Central Depot Cricket Club, Ainderby Road, Romanby, Northallerton.
For over 50 years, Lovell Homes have built high-quality and innovatively designed family homes, creating welcoming communities where people want to live.
Lovell Homes would like to hear your views on their proposal for residential development at the former Central Depot Cricket Club, Ainderby Road, Romanby, Northallerton. Hedley Planning Services will be submitting a Hybrid Application on behalf of Lovell Homes comprising of a Detailed Application for a mix of 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom homes with associated parking, landscaping and infrastructure; and an Outline Application for a Care Home.
The feedback you provide will be fully considered by the design team and used to inform a future planning application.
The proposed Care Home will be situated to the south of the site and will have separate parking facilities and areas of open space. Vehicular access will be granted from within the proposed site, ensuring one point of entry and egress from Ainderby Road. Specific details for the Care Home element will come forward in a separate Planning Application
As part of the proposals, Lovell Homes will provide a dedicated area for community allotments to the north of the site. 10 plots will be delivered in total with an additional larger shared plot for wider use. The facilities will include dedicated vehicle and cycle parking as well as secure storage and toilet facilities. A pedestrian path will link Ainderby Road to the allotments.
Access into the site will be granted to the south, via the existing entrance. Highways works are currently being undertaken, to assess the access in relation to the network, its capacity and adjacent level crossing. The primary internal road will provide a buffer between the railway and proposed dwellings
Detailed landscaping plans are currently being prepared; areas of public open space will be designed into the scheme as well as detailed planting strategy to provide net gains in biodiversity.
Your views are important and will continue to be valuable as the planning application progresses.
