Proposed Wind Turbine at Brink Farm Cottage, Pott Shrigley, SK10 5RU

Hedley Planning Services are submitting a planning application on behalf of Mr. John Murphy for the erection of a single micro-wind turbine on land at Brink Farm Cottages, Pott Shrigley, Macclesfield, Cheshire, SK10 5RU.

The proposed turbine will measure 17.75m (tip height) and be situated at Easting: 396697, Northing: 379228 (see Red Line Boundary on Location Plan below). The turbine will be located on land associated with Brink Farm Cottage, a mainly arable holding, and will be situated over 500m from the next nearest residential property.

Due to the current cost of living crisis and rising energy costs, the applicant seeks to secure energy security whilst reducing costs and their carbon footprint. The proposed micro-wind turbine conforms to all relevant industry standards, resulting in a low environmental impact with regards to noise, visual and ground foundations.

To support a planning application technical documents such as: Ecological Impact Assessment; Noise Assessment; and Landscape Visual Impact are currently being undertaken and will be submitted in support of a future application.
