Proposed Residential Development at Hillrise Crescent, Seaton Village, County Durham

Hedley Planning Services are submitting a planning application on behalf of new homes by believe housing for the construction of 52 homes, including 4 affordable bungalows on land at Hillrise Crescent, Seaton Village, County Durham.

Before we submit a planning application to the council for consideration, we would like to hear your feedback on the proposed sustainable delivery of much-needed homes within County Durham. The design team believe that early and effective engagement with local communities is best planning practice to secure high-quality and sustainable developments. The proposal includes a market housing scheme, with a number of affordable bungalows.

We invite you to review and provide feedback via our interactive consultation website, which can be accessed via the link below. We welcome comments relating to the homes, the proposed access, appearance, landscaping, layout and size. This feedback will be shared with the design team and used to help shape the scheme, where appropriate, ahead of them submitting the application.

The construction of 52 dwellings will comprise the following mix of homes:

  • 4 x two-bed bungalows
  • 29 x three-bed houses
  • 16 x four-bed houses
  • 3 x five-bed houses

Of the proposed dwellings, eight will be affordable; the bungalows will be available for affordable rent, with four three-bedroom houses available for shared ownership. The remaining dwellings will be market sale.
