Public Consultation: Proposal for 55 Affordable Homes on land at Todd Hill Farm, Moorside, County Durham, DH8 8ET

Castles and Coasts along with Adderstone Living are seeking your views on 55 affordable homes in Moorside. The proposal includes 2, 3 and 4 bedroomed properties including 12 bungalows.

We would like to hear from you regarding the proposals and any affordable housing needs you may have. We would be grateful if you could comment on the following:

• Do you generally agree that the site provides an appropriate location for new affordable homes?
• Do you generally agree that the site is well-located in terms of local transport links and services?
• Do you agree that there is a need for affordable homes in the area?
• Do you agree with the proposed mix of affordable homes to be provided?
• Do you or anyone you know have a specific need for an affordable home? If so, how many bedrooms do you require?
• On what basis would you want the houses to be available – affordable rent, affordable home ownership or shared ownership?

Your views are important and will continue to be valuable as the application progresses.

You are also encouraged to join us at the consultation event on 7 December 2023 between 2pm and 6pm at Moorside Church Hall.

All feedback will be collated and shared with the design team who will then address matters raised accordingly. Comments will be included within a Statement of Community Involvement which will be submitted as part of the application.
