The Manor House, Riding Mill

Luke Dickinson is seeking detailed planning permission for the proposed residential development on land at The Manor House, Riding Mill. The development proposal is for 12no new homes.

The proposed development is located within the extended garden of the Manor House which currently contains a disused tennis court and lawn. The proposal includes subdivision of the plot with the proposed dwellings located to the east of the Manor House.

The site offers an exciting opportunity to form high quality dwellings within the existing settlement of Riding Mill. Access to the site will be taken from the A695 as shown on the plans below. The proposal includes retention of trees and additional soft landscaping throughout the site.

The proposed development is for a detailed planning permission for residential development of 12 high-quality homes with associated parking and landscaping on land at the Manor House, Riding Mill. The proposals will include a mix of the following;

  • 3×3 bed dwelling;
  • 4×4 bed dwelling;
  • 3×5 bed dwelling; and
  • 2×6 bed dwelling.

In accordance with Northumberland County Council’s parking standards, each home will provide driveway and garage parking facilities, as well as providing 3 visitor parking spaces for the development.

The proposed access will be granted via the A695, along the northern boundary of the site.

Materials will be in keeping with the locality and the surrounding area, including a palette of stone, and slate tiles. Care has been taken to retain as many trees as possible and introduce new soft and hard landscaping across the site to create an attractive housing development.
